It’s a mixed bag of topics this week on the Outdoor Magazine radio show.
First, veteran angler and fishing educator Mark Romanack joins me to talk bout his new dive curve app for iPhones. This app replaces the popular Precision Trolling books commonly known as the Troller’s Bible. Here’s the Precision Trolling Data facebook page.
Next, Michigan dnr wildlife chief Russ Mason joins me to talk about the sale of wolf licenses. Mason says the process was very smooth and all the tags have been sold.
The wolf theme continues in hour two as Alan Shankelton tells the story of losing two of his bear hunting dogs to a pack of wolves in the U.P. Alan says those wolves surrounded him as well when he tried to rescue the animals.
Michigan based G5 archery is the subject of the next segment as I talk with Tim Checkeroski. We’ve teamed up with G5 to give away a pack of the T3 broadheads each week throughout the fall. To enter the contest you must “like” the Outdoor Magazine facebook page, as well as the G5 facebook page and comment on that page “Mike Avery sent me, I want to win some broadheads”.
Hour number three features professional walleye angler Mark Martin. Mark has great advice on where to fish this fall and even some tips on hunting sand dune whitetails.
We wrap it all up with chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a very nice venison recipe.
Another show filled with great guests and information. I hope you like it.
