We kick of the month of “Rocktober” with a little slower paced show this week.

First, Master Taxidermist RJ Meyer of the Trophy Room Taxidermy Studio (TrophyRoomMichigan.com) joins me to talk about choosing the right taxidermist for your trophy. By the way, RJ has opened a new studio in West Michigan (Allendale, near Grand Valley State University).

Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews has a look at the latest edition of their monthly magazine.

Hour two features Greg Abbas of A-Way Hunting.  Greg is an expert whitetail hunter who loves to share his knowledge about targeting trophy bucks.  Greg has great advice on calling deer, as well as using scent to attract them.  We also talk about his invention consulting business.

Fall muskie fishing is the topic in the final hour of this week’s show as I talk with veteran angler and Michigan dnr fisheries technician Don Barnard.   Don says fall is the best time to target the trophy fish because they’re feeding heavily in preparation for winter.

We wrap it all up once again with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This time Dave has another very nice venison recipe.

A little slower pace this week but lots of great information on this week’s show.  I hope you like it.
