We wrap up the month with a variety of topics this week on the Outdoor Magazine Radio Show.

First, the “Sturgeon General”, Brenda Archambo of Sturgeon for Tomorrow talks about the upcoming Sturgeon spearing season and successful efforts to protect those prehistoric fish during their spawning season.

Then Gary Morgan of East Lake Outfitters talks about the upcoming Michigan turkey season and looks ahead to the fall bear hunt.

Hour two kicks off with Capt. Doug Deming of the Fish Point Lodge.  Doug says the ice fishing season on Saginaw Bay has been slow because of poor ice conditions.

Then Katie Keen of the Michigan dnr joins me to talk about their programs to introduce school kids to wildlife and the outdoors.

Outdoor Writer Richard P Smith is featured in the final hour of this week’s show.  Richard talks about the number of Michigan bear tags, the mild winter and UP wildlife and what he perceives to be unfair crossbow regulations for Upper Peninsula hunters.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This time Dave has a very nice rabbit recipe.

Great guests and information.  I hope you like the show.
