It’s a fishing theme this Mother’s Day Weekend on the Outdoor Magazine Radio Show.

First, I talk with Capt. Paul Schlafley of Riverside Charters in Manistee.  Paul says the season is off to a slow start but he expects the action to pick up in the next few days.

Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews talks about his turkey hunting this spring and the latest edition of their magazine.

Hour two kicks off with the “Sturgeon General”, Brenda Archambo of the Black Lake Chapter of  Sturgeon for Tomorrow.  The giant fish are spawning now and Brenda says this is a good time to get a look at them.

Michigan dnr Fisheries Chief Jim Dexter wraps up the hour.  Jim talks about the status of our state’s fishery today.

Nick DeShano of Off Shore Tackle is featured in the final hour of this week’s show.  Nick describes some of his company’s new products and the process of bringing new gear to the market.

Wild Game Chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up.  This time he has a very nice turkey recipe.

I hope you like the show.
