A slower paced show this week, but still filled with lots of news and information.

First, Michigan dnr biologist Chad Stewart joins me to talk about the CWD situation in Mecosta County.  Chad says there are still lots of questions to be answered regarding that incident.  We also talk about the Ann Arbor deer situation and look ahead to the future of deer hunting in Michigan.

Hour two kicks off with veteran turkey hunter Greg Abbas of A-Way Outdoors.   Greg says it’s a little too early to start patterning the birds, but the perfect time to start getting ready for the season.  Greg demonstrates some calls and talks about this strategy for targeting public land gobblers.

Caleb Putman of the DNR is up next.  Caleb describes a new partnership between the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Audubon Society.

We’re talking fishing in hour three of this week’s show as Lance Valentine of Walleye 101 joins me.  Lance explains how to jig for walleye in the Saginaw and Detroit Rivers.

We wrap it up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This week Dave has an interesting woodchuck recipe.

I hope you like the show.
