We kick off the new months with some great guests and interesting topics.

First, Eric Sherwood of Whitetail Select food plot seed joins me.  Eric is an agronomist and hunter who brings an interesting perspective to the food plot business.  He has great advice on starting a plot, where to put it, how big to make it and what seed to use.

Hour two kicks off with outdoor writer and fishing guide Dave Rose of  Wildfishing.com. Dave talks about late winter and early spring fishing opportunities in Northern Michigan.

Then, Drew YoungeDyke of mucc talks about their concern over possible changes in the Michigan commercial fishing laws that would allow those fishermen to keep walleye, salmon and trout.  CWD and asian carp are also topics of discussion.

We wrap up the hour with Kurt Ieuter of the Ieuter Insurance Group.  Kurt says it’s important to work with the right insurance company to protect our outdoor gear and equipment.

Guns and shooting are the topic in hour three of this week’s show as I talk with Glenn Duncan of Duncans Outdoor Shop in Bay City.  Glenn talks about the demand for guns today, how to maintain them and what to look for when buying a new gun.

We wrap it up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This week Dave and I talk about the recent wild game dinner and auction by my church, Trinity Monitor, and what it takes to cook for hundreds of people at an event like that.

I hope you like the show.
