We’re kicking off the new month this week on Outdoor Magazine radio.
First, Rob Miller talks about the use of tracking dogs to recover fatally wounded deer. He also says they can help determine if a shot wasn’t fatal.
Then, Ed Bowlanowski of Speedy Blaze announces a new “Fall Hunter Contest” where you can win some of their products, as well as a Solo Stove, Michigan Brand Meats and a Primal “Wraith 270” ground blind.
Hour two kicks off with Al Stewart of the Michigan DNR. Al talks about the upcoming fall turkey, pheasant, grouse and woodcock hunting seasons.
Nick Green from MUCC is up next. Nick is checking in from the duck marsh for the early teal season. He talks about the R3 program to boost hunter numbers.
Extreme long range shooting is the topic in Hour 3 this week as I talk with Paul Phillips of Global Precision Group. Paul is one of the best extreme long range shooters in the world, with documented shots of more than four miles. He says their next goal is to reach out to five miles.
We wrap it up with Chef Dave Minar. This time Dave has a very nice perch recipe.
I hope you like the show.
