Outdoor writer and angling expert Dave Rose is my first guest this week. Dave talks about springtime fishing opportunities…including surf fishing. Dave describes the technique for catching multiple species while fishing from shore.

Then Dean Hall of Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger reminds us to donate while getting our new hunting and fishing licenses.

Hour 2 kicks off with Brad Dupuie of Michigan based Apex Marine. Brad talks about the popularity of their Angler Qwest Pontoons and why they’ve become so popular with fishermen across the country.

Nick Green of MUCC is up next with details on talk of sandhill and wolf hunts in Michigan.

The “Ask Avery” segment is up next. This week, Michigan DNR fisheries biologist Addie Dutton joins me to talk about changes in gear restrictions for Saginaw Bay tributaries during the closed season for walleye.

We celebrate spring in hour 3 this week as I talk with Tom Lounsbury. Tom is an expert outdoorsman who looks forward to this time of year for many reasons, including turkey season. Tom tells the story of drawing a tag for the first Michigan turkey season ever, and how that hunt was different than today.

We wrap it up with Chef Dave Minar and a very nice walleye recipe.
