We kick off a new month with another busy Outdoor Magazine show.

First, archer Joe Wiseman joins me.  Joe lost the use of his arm in at ATV accident,  but he hasn’t given up bowhunting.  The West Michigan man has learned to shoot his compound by using his teeth.  Joe is an inspiration to others suffering from physical problems.

Then Ed Golder of the Michigan DNR talks about the delay in the Michigan wolf license program.  Ed says it’s a technical issue and has nothing to do with pressure from anti hunting groups.

The second hour features Mike Hoadley of the Michigan based Predator Traditional Archery company.  Mike talks about the appeal of shooting a recurve or longbow and describes the transition from shooting a compound.  You can learn more about their company at their website HuntersNiche.   I used a Predator takedown recurve a couple of years ago to take a nice Michigan longbeard.

Michigan’s “Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin  joins me for the final hour.  Mark and I discuss new techniques and products, including a device he designed for long line trolling directly behind the boat.  Mark also has great advice on fishing the “dog days” of summer (though I’m not sure we’ll have them this year).  Mark has lots more information on his website….MarkMartins.net.

Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up.  This week he has another great fish recipe.

Another busy show filled with lots of good information.  I hope you like it.
