Lance Valentine of Walleye 101 is my first guest this week. Lance talks to me from Saginaw Bay as he’s running a charter. Valentine says the walleye fishery on the inner bay is holding up well this summer and has some great tips to maximize your catch.
Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour. Tom has details on their August edition and also looks ahead to the big Outdoor Weekend coming up in September.
We’re getting ready for bow season in the second hour with Paul Penix of Jay’s Sporting Goods. Paul is the manager of the archery department in Jay’s Clare Store. He talks about what’s hot for the upcoming season and reminds archers not to wait till the last minute to tune up their shooting skills.
Amy Trotter from the Michigan United Conservation Clubs is up next. Amy talks about outdoor related issues coming out of Lansing and Washington, including the Restoring America’s Wildlife Act.
“Whitetail Whisperer” John Eberhart is my guest in the final hour this week. John describes his process for hunting heavily pressured deer. John did his post season prep last spring and he says if you’re scouting now….you’re too late.
We wrap it all up with wild game chef Dave Minar. This week Dave has a very nice salmon recipe.
I hope you like the show.
