We start out talking about “phonescoping”. That’s the process of using a spotting scope or binoculars with your cell phone to take still pictures and video. Tom Spisz of Vanguard Outdoors has the details.

Then, extreme long range shooter Paul Phillips talks about winning the “King of 2 Mile” competition.

Whitetails are the opening topic in Hour 2 as I talk with John Ozoga. John is a retired Michigan DNR biologist who spent many years researching deer in the UP. John says there are some real threats facing that northern herd…and deer hunting in general.

Then, MUCC‘s new “On the Water” coordinator, Emma Nehan, joins me to talk about that program.

We’re talking about hunting dogs in the third hour this week with Mike Thorman of the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation. Mike talks about the perception some people have of hunters who use hounds to chase coyotes and bear.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dave Minar. This time he has a very nice walleye recipe.

I hope you like the show.
