It’s a fast paced show filled with great guests and information this week on Outdoor Magazine.
First Jason Michalski of Darkhouse Decoys and Spears joins me to talk about the wintertime sport of spearing. Jason makes custom decoys and spears and has lots of experience on the ice. He describes spearing as “bowhunting for fish”.
Then T0m Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews has advice on how to become an outdoor writer in this age of digital media.
Hour two kicks off with Saginaw Bay charter captain and avid ice fishermen Jeff Godi. Jeff has great advice on fishing for wintertime walleye. You can learn more about Jeff’s charter service at The Michigan Experience.
Then Michigan dnr fisheries chief Jim Dexter joins me to talk about a new grant program to improve fisheries habitat.
Ben Nielsen of Showspan is up next. Ben talks about the big Outdoorama show coming up in Novi.
Predator hunting after dark is the subject of the final hour as I talk with Paul Cianciolo of Predator Hunter Outdoors. Paul has come up with an innovative new light system that allows hunters to see game up to four hundred yards away.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a hearty rabbit recipe.
Lots of great guests and information this week….I hope you like it.
