It’s a fast paced show this week filled with great guests and information.
First, meteorologist Mark Torregrossa (mlive.com) joins me. Mark and I recently spent a day walleye fishing on Saginaw Bay but the main topic of discussion is about the weather he says we can expect this fall and winter.
Then, mucc‘s Drew YoungeDyke joins me to talk about their new executive director and to remind us to contact our state legislators about the Citizens for Professional Wildlife (citizenswildlife) initiative.
Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a look at their August edition.
Master taxidermist RJ Meyer of the Trophy Room inside Jays Sporting Goods kicks off hour number two. RJ has great advice on choosing a taxidermist. He also announces a new Trophy Room studio will open in Allendale, near Grand Rapids this September. The veteran taxidermist also says he’ll give away a whitetail shoulder mount when this Outdoor Magazine Facebook page reaches 29,000 likes. Thanks for your generosity RJ.
Katie Keen of the Michigan dnr is up next. Katie talks about a very cool program to teach students about Michigan’s bear population.
In the final hour of this week’s show I talk with outdoor writer and fishing guide Dave Rose (WildFishing.com). Dave is at the big ICAST show in Orlando and he tells us about the new products he’s seen there.
We wrap it all up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has an interesting recipe for snapping turtle.
Lots of great guests and information this week. I hope you like it.
