We wrap up the month talking about a wide variety of topics this week.

First, Michigan dnr fisheries biologist Jim Baker talks about the Saginaw Bay walleye fishery and the role ciscos/herring could play in the future.

Then “Sturgeon General” Brenda Archambo of Sturgeon for Tomorrow joins me with details on the upcoming Sturgeon Shivaree on Black Lake.

Hour two kicks off with outdoor writer Richard P Smith.  Richard says bear predation on UP whitetails is a bigger problem than most people realize.  He also talks about the effective of mandatory antler point restrictions.

Adam Bump from the DNR  is up next.  Adam reminds us that squirrel and rabbit seasons are still open.  He says with poor ice conditions across the southern part of the state, small game hunting is a good option.

Professional angler and fishing educator Lance Valentine of Walleye 101 is featured in hour three.  Lance talks about chasing trophy wintertime walleye on Lake Erie and looks ahead to the springtime fishery on the Detroit River.

Wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up with another great recipe.

I hope you enjoy the show.
