Rick Mowery of Michigan based Bohning Archery joins me this week. Bohning has been in the archery business for 67 years and they continue to develop new products for today’s archer.
Then, I draw the final winner of an Ameristep Carnivore ground blind.
In the second hour Richard P. Smith joins me to talk about moose, bear and whitetails. Richard says the number of moose in the UP continues to rise. He also has insight into the bear population and observations about the secondary whitetail rut.
Drew Youngdyke of MUCC wraps up the hour with discussion of a project to improve rabbit habitat in the Gratiot/Saginaw game area.
The third hour features Lake St. Clair angler Jim Felgenauer. Jim talks about perch spearing on the body of water…it’s the only lake in Michigan where you can do that.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave and I discuss the Helping Hands Wild Game dinner.
A little slower paced show this week, but still filled with lots of great outdoor information. I hope you like it.
Hey mike thought i would talk about fishing Houghton lake. Ice conditions 8 to 12 inches of ice. With good catches walleye pike and perch. There are several pressure cracks that have become difficult to cross. Caution must be used. Maybe we can talk again. 989-329-0510.
Thanks for the update Cliff.
