There’s another busy show coming up this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.

First, I talk about some of the things I saw at the Archery Trade Association (ATA) show in Louisville. There were some interesting products unveiled this year.

Then, Derrick Poet of Jay’s Sporting Goods joins me with his thoughts on that show from a retailer’s perspective.

Next, Gary Morgan of East Lake Outfitters talks about his company and how they offer inexpensive Michigan hunting and fishing trips.

The hour wraps up with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews with a preview of their next edition.

Hour two features Al Stewart of the Michigan DNR. Al is a veteran wildlife biologist and avid turkey hunter. We talk about the history of turkeys in Michigan and how to apply for a springtime turkey hunting tag.

I wrap up the hour talking about the war on guns and their owners. I also have a couple suggestions on what gun owners can do to protect our second amendment right.

In the final hour “Sturgeon General” Brenda Archambo of Sturgeon for Tomorrow joins me to talk about that prehistoric fish and we look ahead to the sturgeon spearing season in February.

The show wraps up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. Dave reminds us of his Helping Hands wild game dinner coming up in a couple of weeks and he also has a nice whitefish recipe.

Another busy show. I hope you like it.
