We celebrate this Father’s Day weekend by talking about fishing with a trio of heavy hitters on the Michigan fishing scene.
First, Mark Romanack of Fishing 411 joins me to talk about his dive curves and the finer points of trolling for walleye and salmon. Mark also discusses moving his television show from Sportsman Channel over to the World Fishing Network.
Then Tim Roller talks about flyfishing for trout and smallmouth. For more than two decades Tim owned Ultimate Outfitters guide service. During that time one of his customers caught the world record brown trout on Michigan’s Manistee River. These days, Tim is concentrating on his Whitetail Journey TV show, so we spend some time discussing deer hunting as well.
Kent Wood of MUCC wraps the hour up talking about license fee increase legislation and proposed firearm legislation that could impact Michigan’s youth hunting seasons.
Michigan’s “Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin is featured in the third hour of this week’s show. Mark has a live report from Lake Erie while pre-fishing for a tournament there. We had some cell phone problems due to storms in the area but while talking with me for the show, Mark caught a couple beautiful walleye.
The show wraps up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a hearty bear recipe.
A little slower paced show this week featuring some long time friends sharing some great fishing information. I hope you like it.
