I kick off this week’s show talking about my recent walleye fishing adventures. I got to spend some quality time on Saginaw Bay with my mom and dad….and we caught some nice fish too.
Then, Ron St. Louis of Northern Wilderness Bear Hunts in White River Ontario joins me to talk about fall black bear hunting in that Canadian Province. Hunters who did not get a Michigan bear tag can still hunt with Ron in Canda. I’ll be there in mid August too.
The second hour features “Michigan’s Mr. U.P.”, Dan Donarski. Dan and I haven’t talked for a while so we have lots to catch up on, including the proposed license fee increases and mandatory antler point restrictions.
Tony Hansen of MUCC is up next with comments on why that group has not taken a formal stand on the mandatory antler point restriction movement sweeping Michigan.
Veteran outdoor writer and Great Lakes angler Dave Mull joins me next to talk about the status of fishing in the Lakes and how the fishery has changed. He also tells the story of his fishing boat sinking on southern Lake Michigan last summer.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a very tasty walleye recipe.
This week’s show is a little slower paced, but that gives me more time to talk with some very good guests. I hope you enjoy it.
