Martin Szeliga, The Airborne Angler is my first guest this week. Martin talks about his efforts to shoot underwater video of his fishing trips. He’s been able to get some very cool images of fish hitting his lures and also how the scene compares to images on his Lowrance.
Then Nick Percy of Killer Food Plots talks about getting ready for the food plot planting season and why a solid sample is the first step.
Hour two kicks off with Dave Cronk of Jay’s Sporting Goods. Dave talks about the appeal of flyfishing and how to get started. He also has some tips for me to increase my odds of catching bluegills on a fly rod.
Amy Trotter of MUCC is up next. Amy brings us up to speed on some of the issues facing hunters and anglers as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
We’re talking turkey in the final hour this week with Al Stewart of the Michigan DNR. Al is the state’s upland game bird specialist and a hard core turkey hunter. Al has some great hunting tips and describes the process for “swapping out” your license if the governor’s executive order prevents you from driving to your turkey hunting spot.
Wild game chef Dave Minar wraps it all up. This time he has a very nice wild turkey recipe.
I hope you like the show.
