We kick off the new month with some interesting guests this week on the Outdoor Magazine Radio Show.

First, Josh Pawlak of Vanguard Outdoors joins me to talk about that Michigan based company.  I’m happy to welcome Vanguard to the Outdoor Magazine family.

Then, Captain Jeff Godi of The Michigan Experience  fishing charters joins me to talk about a fishing trip giveaway coming up on Saginaw Bay.

The hour wraps up with Emily Mallory from the Forward Corporation.  Emily has details on how you can win that fishing trip with Captain Godi.

Hour two kicks off with veteran turkey hunter Greg Abbas of Away Outdoors (AwayHunting.com).  Greg talks about targeting early season birds and demonstrates some calls to help you bag a gobbler.

Drew YoungDyke of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (mucc.org) is up next.  Drew talks about potential policy resolutions at their upcoming convention and his thoughts on the movement to make “blaze pink” legal for Michigan hunters.

Gary Morgan of East Lake Outfitters wraps up the hour.  Gary warns hunters about a website that appears to be a booking agent for East Lake Outfitters, but Gary says he’s not associated with the company behind that site.

Metro Deroit fishing is the topic of discussion in hour number three as I talk with guide Brad Smith of Detroit Outdoor Adventures (iFishDetroit.com).  Brad has great advice on jigging for Detroit River walleye.  He also talks about fishing for other species, including this nice musky caught on a recent trip.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This week Dave has a walleye in phyllo dough recipe.

Great guests and outdoor information this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.  I hope you like the show.
